Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal made an inspection tour of the Basatin neighborhood to follow up on the demolition work of the 2nd phase of the Ring Road in coordination with the Ministry of Transport to implement a service road within the framework of the state’s plan to upgrade roads and create new axes to ease traffic flow.
Abdel Aal also inspected the ongoing demolition of Arab El-Yasar and El-Sayeda Eisha neighborhoods following the demolition decrees of several dilapidated and life-threatening buildings to eradicate unsafe areas across Cairo.
Moreover, the demolition is part of the development work of the historical area surrounding El-Qalaa and El-Sayeda Eisha Squares. The development also includes the expansion of the Civilization Museum Street in the framework of the state’s plan to restore and revive Historic Cairo to regain its vital position reflecting the unique architectural style of this area.
