Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Wednesday the ongoing development work of the Ehsan Abdel Qudous Street extension of El-Estad El-Bahry Street at the intersection of Salah Salem to El-Khalifa El-Ma’mon Streets in Misr El-Gadidah neighborhood. The development work is in the framework of the governorate’s efforts to increase green spaces to reduce pollution and improve air quality.

Abdel Aal confirmed that cleaning and reforestation are at the top of Cairo’s priorities, given their role in improving the quality of citizens’ life and maintaining their health.  

The development work, implemented by the Cairo Beautification and Cleaning Authority to upgrade and improve the capital’s streets, included upgrading pavements, painting curbstones, increasing reforestation, trimming trees, building pergolas, and installing an iron fence along the road.  

Abdel Aal was accompanied by Ehab El-Shershaby, chairman of the Cairo Beautification and Cleaning Authority, and several officials of the Cairo governorate.
