Tourism Ministry signs contract with major agency for promoting Egypt tourist destinations abroad
The Tourism and Antiquities
Ministry, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation,
has signed a contract with US advertising company "McCann" to run
promotional campaign for the Egyptian tourist destinations abroad.
Previously prepared by a
Canadian-British consortium in 2021, the campaign came in the light of the
recent global political and health developments, which cast its shadows on the
world tourist movement.
The US company is expected to
create innovative ideas to promote for the Egyptian tourist sites in different
websites and social networks, said President of the Egyptian General Authority
for Tourism Activation Amr el Qadi.
The promotional campaign is planned
to be launched in the last quarter of 2022, in conjunction with several key
events and activities, to be held by the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry, to
mark the World tourism Day on September 27, the 200-year anniversary of
deciphering the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, and the 100th anniversary of
discovering King Tutankhamun’s tomb.
The promotional campaign coincides
with the international media momentum in light of Egypt's hosting of the 27th
Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 27) in Sharm el Sheikh in
November.
