Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal, accompanied by the Commander of the Military Zone Staff Major-General Tarek Hamed El-Shazly, and First Assistant Minister of Interior Director of Cairo Security Directorate Ashraf El-Gendy laid a wreath at the Military Zone martyr tombs in Al-Khafir area on the occasion of Martyr Day celebrated every year on March 9th, in commemoration of Egypt's former Chief of Staff Abdel Moneim Riad.
Abdel Aal stressed the importance of the significant role of the Egyptian army and police and the sacrifices they made for their country's safety and security. He also hailed the role of the Egyptian Armed Forces in peace and war.
