About

16 November 2022

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal made Wednesday an inspection tour of the Ma’an alternative housing project in the Al-Salam Thani district to follow up on the availability of services provided to residents of the project as part of the state’s efforts to ensure residents’ access to vital services.

During his tour, Abdel Aal underscored the challenge the capital faces to eradicate informal settlements following the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, asserting the state’s keenness to provide integrated health care for the residents of the alternative housing projects built by the government.

Moreover, Abdel Aal inspected the medical convoy launched by Cairo’s Health Directorate for two days to offer free medical services and prescriptions for the residents of the area.

The medical convoy comprises several specialties: internal medicine, ophthalmology, surgery, pulmonology, cardiology, gynecology, Pediatrics, otolaryngology, dentistry, dermatology, and family planning.

Abdel Aal also checked, during his tour, the medical center to ensure the availability of sufficient storage of medicines and medical supplies.

Furthermore, Abdel Aal met with some citizens visiting the medical convoy who asserted that they received organized and integrated medical care, especially  through the presidential initiatives concerning women’s health, early detection of breast cancer, kidney disorder, and chronic diseases.

Abdel Aal was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, Director of Health Directorate Mohammad Shawki, Chief of El-Salam Thani district Sadiq Abdel Maqsoud, and several executives of Cairo governorate.
