Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal made Wednesday an inspection tour of the Asmarat district in the Mokattam area to follow up on the availability of services provided to residents.
During his tour, the governor ensured that every resident had access to commodities and supplies at food outlets as well as subsidized bread at the area’s two bakeries.
The governor asserted that eradicating informal settlements in the capital, one of the major challenges that the state was able to overcome following the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, presented an outstanding and unique example of constructing new integrated urban communities.
Moreover, the governor pointed out that the Asmarat project served as a springboard to many unsafe areas’ alternative housing projects.
The governor also inspected the Asmarat 3 Primary School to check on the education process and attended some activities practiced by students during the day.
The governor, furthermore, confirmed that the state is keen on providing integrated healthcare services to residents of all alternative housing projects, noting that there is a periodical follow-up for the new housing projects implemented by the state.
At the end of his tour, the governor urged officials responsible for the projects to continually follow up on the residents’ commitment to regulations, or they would face legal action.
The governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Jihan Abdel Moneim, Secretary-General Ibrahim Awad, Director of Cairo’s Supply Directorate Abdel Naeem Hamed, and several officials of the Cairo governorate.
