Cairo Gov. witnesses launching of Forsa Program

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal Witnessed Sunday the launching ceremony of the Economic Empowerment program Forsa as part of the Decent Life Initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to improve the quality of living for the neediest families nationwide.

 

The ceremony also included a recruitment forum with the participation of 24 major companies providing 200 job opportunities for young people.

 

During the ceremony, Abdel Aal said that the Forsa Program represents an integrated system for empowerment and qualifying for the labor market in the framework of the social protection system launched by the government to the neediest groups to support financial independence and help women, young people, low-income families, and people of determination integrate into the labor market.

 

Abdel Aal added that the program aims to achieve economic independence through proper training and motivation to help young people find decent jobs. It will also provide financial resources for projects and create a supportive environment of entrepreneurship to develop micro-enterprises and add developmental value to the owners.

 

Moreover, Abdel Aal lauded the efforts of the Ministry of Social Solidarity to implement the Forsa Program, launched within the framework of the Decent Life Presidential Initiative and economic empowerment of the Takaful and Karama Program.

 
 

For his part, Advisor to the Minister of Social Solidarity for Economic Empowerment and Forsa Program, Dr. Atef El-Shabrawi, pointed out that the Ministry of Social Solidarity has implemented several programs targeting economic and social empowerment for needy families.

 

El-Shabrawi added that the Forsa Program targets women, young people, and low-income families benefiting from the Takaful and Karama Program and aims to integrate them into the labor market.

 
Furthermore, El-Shabrawi said that the program provides soft loans in cooperation with civil society organizations and charity organizations for low-income families to help them improve their living standards.
 
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Abdel Hadi, Secretary-General Alaa Rashad, Assistant Secretary-General Ibrahim Awad, Director of Social Solidarity Directorate Dr. Ahmad Abdel Rahman, Advisor to the Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Atef El-Shabrawi, and Head of the Regional Union of NGOs Ezz El-Din Farghal.
