Cairo Gov. inspects Ain Shams Wastewater Lift Station
Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal conducted
an inspection tour of the wastewater lift station in Ain Shams neighborhood to
follow up on the ongoing development and upgrade of the station.
During his tour, Abdel Aal inspected
the new expansions at the station as well as some of the company’s new equipment
and vacuum trucks.
Abdel Aal praised the efforts exerted
by Cairo Water Company and Wastewater Company to provide citizens with the best
services with Egyptian experience and workers.
After Abdel Aal ended his tour, he held
a meeting with the Cairo Water Company and Wastewater Company Chairmen and
executives to discuss preparations for dealing with the rainfall during the
upcoming period, as the Egyptian Meteorological Authority predicted.
Moreover, Abdel Aal urged to clean
rainwater drains across the capital to ensure its capability to discharge any amount of rainwater and to deal immediately
with any complaints about rainwater flooding across Cairo’s streets to ensure
citizens’ safety and avoid road blockage.
Abdel Aal further stressed the
necessity for dispatching equipment and emergency teams to deal with any state
of emergency in the capital’s streets through coordination between districts,
the wastewater company, Cairo’s Cleaning Authority, civil protection, and Cairo
Traffic.
Abdel Aal was accompanied by Deputy Cairo
Governor Ibrahim Saber, Assistant Secretary-General Ibrahim Awad, Chairman of
the wastewater company Eng. Adel Hasan, and Chairman of Cairo Water Company
Eng. Mustafa El-Sheimy.
