El-Salam District Industrial Zone
According to Egypt Cabinet's recommendations to boost investment in Egypt's governorates and take the necessary measures to attract more foreign and domestic investment to Cairo Governorate, Cairo Governor has issued decree no. 1204 of 2007 to evacuate El-Salam district's informal area and approve the allocation of the land to establish an integrated industrial zone east of the Belbis area and 18 El-Harby Factory in Madinet El-Nahda area. El-Salam district industrial zone is on an area of 49 acres for the Textile and Garment Industry.
The first phase includes 33 acres for establishing Textile manufacturing factories.
Land plots and areas are divided as follows:
One-third of the land plot: Parks and streets
5% of the land: services
15 land plots for large-scale industries (5000 m2)
15 land plots for small-scale industries (500 m2)
