Following the instruction of the political leadership and the Prime Minister, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Wednesday Masr Al-Gadidah Citizen Service Center to check on the pilot implementation of the new system of building permits, planning, and construction requirements.
During his tour, Abdel Aal stressed the necessity of providing citizens easy access to services and explaining the importance and benefit of applying the new construction requirement system to them, pointing out that pamphlets and brochures have been made to explain the application steps.
Moreover, the governor emphasized that all employees have received intensive training in dealing with the new system of obtaining construction permits.
The governor added that a high committee was formed to manage the urban planning system in Cairo, oversee the implementation of the new planning and construction requirements system, and respond to citizens inquiries about it, pointing out that all construction activities for valid permits would be allowed after being inspected by the high committee formed by Cairo governorate.
Abdel Aal also noted that the state is exerting great effort to digitize all government services to provide citizens easy access to services and strive to reach the best ways to regulate the urban planning system in Egypt and limit random and illegal construction in a way that achieves the interest of both citizens and country.
