Cairo Governor inaugurates Souq Masr Trade Fair

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inaugurated on Friday 2nd, "Souq Masr" trade fair for school supplies held by Cairo governorate at the International Park in Madinet Nasr area in cooperation with the Micro, Medium, and Small Enterprise Development Fund, Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Handicraft Industry Chamber, Ready-made garments & Textiles Chamber, Leather Industry Chamber, and several civil associations.

 

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Eng. Ibrahim El-Araby, Chairman of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Deputies Governor of Cairo, Mr. Mohammad Hanfy, Secretary-General, and Mr. Ibrahim Awad, Assistant Secretary-General.  

 

The governor said that 300 exhibitors of micro and small enterprise owners participate in the Souq Masr trade fair to offer families school supplies and other products at affordable prices as part of the state's contribution to ease the burden on citizens.

 

The free-entry trade fair opens from 10 am to 11 pm and showcases different kinds of products such as clothing, furnishings, leather, handicrafts, stationary. It also includes art and entertainment shows, workshops for children under the supervision of Cairo's Culture Directorate and General Organization of Culture Palaces.

 

Moreover, the fair will host workshops to illustrate the concept of Arabic heritage and the success stories of heritage figures and to display some heritage features.

 

Abdel Aal added that the fair also aims at supporting micro and small enterprises following President Sisi's initiative to back partnership between civil society and state institutions and to achieve the state's future vision to merge 2000 workshops into the public sector.
