EGYPT and Jordan have expressed shared keenness on sustaining coordination on regional issues of mutual concern and pushing forward their strategic relations. Expression of this attitude came as President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and King Abdullah II of Jordan held talks over telephone yesterday.
In the phone communication, the two leaders reviewed the course of relations between Egypt and Jordan and looked into ways of enhancing bilateral ties, the Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Bassam Radi, said in a statement to the press following the Sisi-Abdullah II phone call yesterday.
Discussions between President Sisi and King Abdullah II also covered the latest regional setting and the situation and the developments of the ongoing crises in some countries of the region, especially including the Palestinian cause, the spokesman Radi said.
The two Arab leaders asserted mutual keenness on consolidating the distinguished relations and historical links that bind the two brotherly peoples of Egypt and Jordan, the Presidency spokesman said. President Sisi and King Abdullah II also emphasized that the two countries will continue their coordination and consultation on various issues of mutual concern, spokesman Radi said.
